Black Horse Beamish, listed on Bridebook as Red Row Estate, has a permanent marquee. Guides for Brides lists it for 2 to 250 guests, and Bridebook lists 20 bedrooms and 35 five-star reviews.

I haven't photographed a wedding at Black Horse Beamish yet. A permanent marquee gives you the feel of a marquee wedding without having to hire one.
Bishop Auckland and Sedgefield
8. The Manor House Hotel, West Auckland
The Manor House Hotel at West Auckland is a manor house hotel described by Guides for Brides as dating from the 12th century, with weddings for 40 to 80 guests. Bridebook lists 32 bedrooms and 25 five-star reviews.

Getting legally married in County Durham
For a civil ceremony at a venue, the venue has to be approved by Durham County Council. The council publishes its list of licensed venues for marriages and civil partnerships, grouped into the Barnard Castle, Teesdale and Weardale areas, the Durham and Stanley areas, the Bishop Auckland area and the Seaham area. All ten venues in this guide are on it. Check with the council and your venue when you book, because licences can change.
