Frequently asked questions.

What is your style of photography?

As a documentary wedding photographer, my style is focused on capturing candid, authentic, and unscripted moments throughout the wedding day. Rather than staging or directing shots, I aim to capture the natural flow of the day and the emotions and interactions of the couple and their guests.

My photographs are characterised by a storytelling approach, where I aim to document the wedding day as it unfolds, from the preparation and anticipation leading up to the ceremony to the joy and celebration of the reception. I have a keen eye for detail and composition and I strive to capture the unique personality and style of each couple.

My style is often characterised by a photojournalistic approach, where I capture moments as they happen, without interfering or altering the scene. I use a mix of wide-angle and telephoto lenses to capture a variety of perspectives and tell a complete story of the day.

Overall, my documentary wedding photography style is ideal for couples who want a natural, spontaneous, and authentic record of their wedding day, rather than a heavily staged and posed photo shoot.

How Long do you stay on the day?

If you book me for a half-day package I will arrive 45 minutes before your ceremony and then leave after the first dance. If you book me for a full day then I don’t have a start or finish time, you have me from start to finish.

How long does it take to receive our photos?

On average it takes five weeks to receive your online gallery. During quiet times this could be sooner and in the busier wedding sean it may be longer.

How long does the online gallery stay online?

I pay for online storage so your gallery will be removed once a new gallery takes its place in the line, this normally takes over a year.

How do I book?

I have an online booking system. If you decide to go ahead then I will send you a quote and the booking system will guide you through the process.

How much is the deposit and when do I pay?

The booking fee is £100 and the remaining balance is due one month before the wedding. Your booking isn’t complete until I have received the contract and booking fee back.

Can I have the unedited files?

No unedited files will be released at any point

Do you keep back ups?

I keep a back up of all unedited and edited weddings for a minimum of one year. I recommend you back your own digital files on a cloud service once you have received them

Do you have insurance?

I am fully insured and can supply a certificate if your venue needs one as proof

Do I need feeding on the day?

I always bring my own food and never ask to be fed, weddings are expensive enough without having to feed your suppliers. I always appreciate it when a venue does supply food and it is welcome.
