Wedding Films for Couples Who See Things Differently
Colourful, playful and carefully composed films for couples who want something with more character than a traditional wedding video.
Inspired by bold colour, symmetry, dry humour and the unexpected moments that make a wedding memorable, each 3–5-minute film turns the atmosphere of your day into something wonderfully unconventional.
Not a Traditional Wedding Video
These films aren’t designed to be a straightforward record of everything that happened. They’re short, creative interpretations of the wedding—built around the people, atmosphere and small moments that gave the day its personality.
Carefully composed
I look for bold colour, strong framing, symmetry and visual details that make an ordinary moment feel cinematic. Every clip is chosen because it adds something to the finished film.
Playful, not cheesy
Weddings are emotional, but they’re also funny, unpredictable and occasionally chaotic. Your film can include the meaningful moments without treating the entire day like a slow-motion perfume advert.
Built from what really happened
There are no scripts or staged recreations. I capture real reactions, natural movement, snippets of conversation and the moments happening between the formal parts of the wedding.
The result is a colourful, character-filled film that feels unmistakably like your day.
Some Moments Need Movement and Sound
Photographs preserve individual moments beautifully. Film brings back everything happening around them: the movement, voices, nervous laughter, music and atmosphere.
It’s hearing the slight change in someone’s voice during a speech. Seeing how your family reacted as you entered the ceremony. Watching the dog wander into the wrong place, the confetti go sideways or the dance floor properly come alive.
These aren’t always the biggest moments of the wedding, but they’re often the details that transport you straight back to it.
Your photographs give you the complete visual story. The film gives that story a pulse.
“The highlight video was an incredible added bonus and we’re very grateful for it, it was very unexpected and was a lovely way to re-experience the day! — Jack and Noah
Photography and Film Without a Production Crew
I capture your photographs and short highlight film together, giving both a consistent visual style without adding another full team of cameras to the wedding.
Throughout the day, I move intentionally between still photography and short video clips. I also use discreet audio equipment to capture parts of the ceremony, speeches and natural sound that can be woven into the finished film.
Because the film is created alongside the photography, it remains unobtrusive. There are no repeated entrances, staged reactions or instructions to perform something again for the video.
During moments that happen only once—such as the first kiss—the still photographs take priority. The film is built from everything surrounding those moments: the anticipation, movement, reactions and atmosphere.
Is hybrid coverage right for us?
Hybrid coverage is ideal if you want:
• A complete collection of professional photographs
• A short, creative 3–5-minute wedding film
• Natural audio and licensed music
• One consistent creative style
• A relaxed approach without a large production crew
It isn’t designed to replace dedicated multi-camera videography or provide full-length recordings of the ceremony and speeches. It is a creative companion to your photography that captures the wedding in a completely different way.

F.A.Q
-
A hybrid film is captured alongside your wedding photography by the same person. You receive a complete professional photography gallery together with a short, creative film showing the movement, sound and atmosphere of the day.
-
Your finished highlight film will usually be between three and five minutes long. It is carefully edited to include the strongest moments rather than being stretched to reach an unnecessary running time.
-
No. I move intentionally between photography and short video clips throughout the wedding. During moments that only happen once, the still photographs take priority. The film is then built around the anticipation, reactions, movement and atmosphere surrounding those moments.
-
Absolutely not. There are no scripts, staged reactions or repeated entrances. You enjoy the wedding while I capture what naturally happens. I may offer some relaxed direction during your portraits, but nothing should feel like a performance.
-
The hybrid film is designed as a short, creative highlight rather than full-length videography. I record selected audio and moments from the ceremony and speeches to use within the finished film, but I don’t currently provide complete multi-camera recordings.
If full ceremony and speech coverage is important to you, I can recommend booking a dedicated videographer alongside me.
-
I use discreet audio equipment to capture selected parts of the ceremony, speeches and natural sound from the wedding. These recordings are combined with licensed music to give the film more personality and emotional depth.
-
You’re welcome to tell me about the music, films and general atmosphere you like. I’ll then select properly licensed music that suits the pace and personality of the finished film. Commercial songs cannot normally be used because of copyright restrictions.
-
Your film will be delivered online in high resolution, making it easy to watch, download and share with family and friends.
-
Drone footage may be included where it adds something to the film and where the weather, venue rules and legal restrictions allow. It can never be guaranteed, but I’ll use it when the conditions are right.
-
Usually, yes. Film coverage can be added before the wedding, subject to availability and sufficient planning time. Let me know as early as possible so I can prepare the audio equipment and coverage properly.
