Daisy and Dave's October 2023 wedding at Danby Castle, near Whitby on the North York Moors, was a proper reminder of why I love working there as a wedding photographer. The castle looked after both the venue and the food, so the couple could leave the logistics to the team and simply enjoy their day. There was cake too, from Cabbage Patch Bakery, and I can confirm it got the attention it deserved. Danby is a historic castle surrounded by moorland, so even a short walk outside gives you big skies and plenty of character without needing to go far. That suits the way I work. I'd much rather spend a few relaxed minutes on portraits and get you back to your guests than turn the afternoon into a photoshoot. Most of my day is spent quietly in the background, watching for the laughs, the hugs and the moments nobody planned. If you're planning a Danby Castle wedding, it would be great to have a chat.
