Kate and Will

Katie and Will marked the occasion of their fall nuptials in the exquisite Priests House, situated in North Yorkshire. The day commenced with my photography session of Katie at a nearby Airbnb, a converted barn that she had reserved to spend the pre-wedding moments with her bridal party. My focus was on capturing candid shots of Katie and her bridesmaids as they finalised their wedding hair and makeup. Being a documentary wedding photographer, my passion lies in capturing natural moments that reflect the genuine essence of the wedding day. These images are free of artificial smiles and staged poses, thereby portraying the authentic story of the day.

The Priests House, North Yorkshire

As I arrived at The Priest's House, the stunning wedding venue located in North Yorkshire's Bolton Abbey, I caught up with Will. Despite the upcoming big day, he appeared quite relaxed and not too nervous about the ceremony. Shortly after my arrival, I received a heads-up that Katie had arrived with her wedding party.

Excitedly, I made my way inside, fully prepared to capture the beautiful moment when Katie walked down the aisle. The wedding ceremony was a magical experience filled with an abundance of joy and emotion. As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I felt privileged to witness and photograph such an unforgettable wedding ceremony.

Following the ceremony, we stepped outside into the breathtaking surroundings of The Priest's House. Despite the cloudy and overcast autumn weather, the picturesque beauty of North Yorkshire shone through in all its glory.

I then took Katie and Will for their portrait photographs, and we opted for a brief walk down to the river to capture them in the natural landscape. Being a nature enthusiast, I always try to highlight my couples in the local area, and North Yorkshire never disappoints in this regard.

After returning to the wedding venue, we made our way inside for Katie and Will's wedding breakfast. The grand hall provided the perfect setting for the occasion, surrounded by their loved ones.

The atmosphere was fantastic as they enjoyed their meal, and the highlight of the speeches was undoubtedly Katie's mother's brilliant speech. It had everyone laughing and reminiscing about Katie's childhood, making for a memorable moment.

As the day progressed, I focused on capturing candid photos in the grand hall of The Priests House, a stunning location that never failed to impress. Because I'm a documentary wedding photographer this is one of my favourite parts of the day. As the night drew in, the venue took on a different personality, becoming more intimate and alluring in the soft candlelight. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and I couldn't resist taking more photographs to capture the ambience.

Katie and Will's wedding was one of my last weddings of 2022, but definitely one of my favourites.
