Middlesbrough Engagement Photoshoot

An engagement photoshoot in North Yorkshire

This weekend I finally managed to catch up with Amy and Jon at one of my favourite spots in North Yorkshire for their engagement photoshoot. As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I love getting out into the countryside to meet and photograph couples. I find it really important to get to know all of my wedding clients and to try and break that ice between us and show each couple that getting in front of the camera isn’t as bad as it seems.

When we first arrived in the car park Amy described that they were a little nervous and had never done anything like this, I hope it comes across in the photos how relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera they both were. It was without a doubt one of my favourite engagement shoots I have done in a while.

Reasons to book an engagement photoshoot

I have already written an in-depth blog about this topic and how strongly I feel about the benefits of having an engagement photoshoot. You can read the blog here

Some of the key benefits of having an engagement shoot are:

  • Getting to know your photographer: An engagement photoshoot is a great opportunity to get to know your photographer before your wedding day. You can see their style, get comfortable in front of the camera, and build a relationship with them that will make your wedding day photography experience much more enjoyable.

  • Creating lasting memories: Your engagement is a special time in your relationship and having professional photos taken to commemorate it can create lasting memories that you'll cherish for years to come.

  • Practising for the wedding day: An engagement photoshoot can help you practice posing, finding your best angles, and feeling comfortable in front of the camera. This can help you feel more relaxed and confident on your wedding day.

  • Using the photos for save-the-dates and wedding decor: Engagement photos are perfect for save-the-dates, wedding websites, and other pre-wedding communication. They can also be used to decorate your wedding venue or create a photo album or guest book.

  • Celebrating your love story: An engagement photoshoot is a chance to celebrate your unique love story and capture the essence of your relationship in a beautiful and meaningful way.
