Adelle and Ric got married at Danby Castle on the North York Moors in October 2023, and I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer for the day. They kept everything at the castle, with the ceremony and celebrations in the same place, and there's something lovely about a wedding that never needs to move. Nobody's hunting for car keys and nobody's watching the clock, just a couple and their people in one spot. Danby has that effect. It's a historic castle sitting in open moorland, and the landscape around it does a lot of the work. I like to keep portraits short and relaxed there: a few minutes out in the open air with a bit of calm guidance, then straight back to the drinks and the conversations.
