The Value of Your Wedding Album

Your wedding day is one of the most special moments of your life, filled with memories that you'll want to treasure forever.

While digital galleries are a convenient way to view and share your photos, there’s something truly timeless about having a physical wedding album.

On my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary, I came across their wedding album—a beautiful, tangible reminder of their special day. Seeing the photos in print, held in my hands, was incredibly moving. It was more than just images on a screen; it was a piece of family history, connecting us to their past.

A physical album becomes part of your legacy, something you can pass down through generations. It’s a way for your children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren to relive your love story. While digital files are convenient, they can be lost or compromised over time. I’ve seen it happen before, which is why I now place so much value on creating physical albums for my clients. Your wedding album is an heirloom—a permanent, tactile record of your wedding day that can’t be replaced.

If you haven’t yet added a wedding album to your package, now is the perfect time to consider it. And if you’re already receiving an album, you might want to think about upgrading—whether it’s adding extra spreads for more memories, or opting for a larger size that really makes your photos stand out.

Your standard wedding album includes:

  • Photo Capacity: Up to 50 photos

  • Album Size: 30x30cm

  • Pages: 20 pages (10 spreads)

  • Cover Material: A choice of various materials

How to Design Your Wedding Album

Now that you’ve had time to enjoy your wedding photos, it’s time to turn them into your album. Don’t worry — it’s simple, and I’ll guide you through every step.

Step 1: Choose Your Favourite Photos

Pick around 50 favourites from your online gallery by clicking “Favourite” on each image.
Think about the story of your day — a mix of key moments, emotions, and laughter works best.

Can’t narrow it down? You can add extra spreads to include more photos later.

Step 2: I’ll Design Your Album

Once your favourites are saved, I’ll start building your album design.
I’ll arrange everything to tell the story naturally — from getting ready to the dance floor.
If you’ve upgraded your album size, those larger pages will really let your photos breathe.

Step 3: Review and Approve

When the first draft is ready, I’ll send you a proof to review online.
You can request changes — swap a photo, tweak the layout, or adjust anything you’d like.
Try to finalise your design before autumn, as that’s my busiest season.
Please note: the photo lab closes over Christmas, so plan early if it’s a gift.

Step 4: Choose Your Cover & Finish

Once you’re happy with the design, choose your cover material — leather, linen, wood, or velvet.
Then fill in the questionnaire at the bottom of this page to confirm your choices and upgrades.
Once submitted, your album goes straight to print.

This is a great opportunity for us to go over all the available options together, including album size, cover materials, customisation, and any upgrades you might be considering. We can also review the layout and design of your album in real-time, making sure it’s exactly how you envisioned.

During the session, I’ll answer any questions you have and offer suggestions to help you create a truly stunning album that reflects your day perfectly. These design sessions are a fantastic way to personalise your album while making the decision process even easier and more collaborative.
