Fiona and Dan
Fiona and Dan tied the knot on a typical spring day. Windy, heavy showers but then the most brilliant sunshine. As I pulled up outside the Kings Head Hotel in Richmond I just didn’t know what to expect. Luckily the hotel was perfect inside. The Kins Head is quite deceiving as it stands proud in the market square. From the outside it looks fairly small but once you walk through the front doors the place sweeps you up in a maze of small bars, winding corridors and grand ballrooms.
I headed up stairs to the bridal suite to meet fiona and her family and bridesmaids.
After a few hours with Fiona and her family we had a short walk through the hotel to the ceremony room. I loved this room! Large windows lined one side and the let the soft spring sunshine fill the room. It was elegant but not over the top. It never felt stuffy. The ceremony was sheer perfection and really brought Fiona’s bubbly personality out. Once the formal side was complete it was onto canapes and fizz while I waited for a break in the showers to get the group photos done. Because the Kings Head Hotel doesn’t have any grounds it meant we had to do a short walk to the local park. perfect for those candid shots while the bride walked through Richmonds narrow streets.
After the wedding breakfast I managed to sneak Fiona and Dan away for 30 minutes so we could get some of their photos done. A few weeks before I had found a priory with easy access so while the weather held off I just had to get down there with them.
